Just a little update

Well I haven't been blogging lately, life has been a little busy. It seems like all i do is work. But it's well worth it when you love your job. Anyway, February was a fun month. Amie got baptised on valentines day. Matt baptised her. I was so proud of both of them. Rachel and Matt's family came down and Danny and Beverly came. Uncle Kerry and Aunt Kelly brought Grandma over to it. It was nice to spend time with all of them. After we left the kids all home and Me, Rachel, Matt and Danny and all our spouses all went bowling and then to dinner for Valentines day. It was alot of fun. Makalie will be going to nationals in Los Angeles this week for cheerleading. She is so excited. She got out there and raised almost all the money to go. She can hardly wait. It's going to be a long four days without her. Her and Brandon are both getting straight A's in school this term. They are such smart kids. Amie signed up for baseball and Kyle learned to swim this week. The county shut down the swimming pool for one hour a day this week for kids with disabilities to come and swim. i thought it was so special. Them kids had the times of their lives. They all cheered each other on. Kyle had his own one on one life guard. I love Kyle, he is my best little buddy. Chris almost has his buggy done. I will have to take pictures and post them. And as for me, I'm doing the biggest looser with the family and i aint making to much progress. I did loose a total of 8 pounds since new years but unfortunately i gained back 3. It's really hard. Me and Rachel are going to be going to the Kenny Chesney concert in July. I can hardly wait. I'm a big big fan!!!!! This will be my second time seeing him in Concert and I'm excited that Rachel and Cody are going with us. Well, that about sums it up. I hope all is well for everyone.

The kids with their Grandma's

We went to Price the Sunday after Christmas and met my mom and Rachel's family at JB's for lunch. It was nice spending time with them. Afterwards we went to Grandma Bates house for a visit. It was nice seeing her. It's not very often that my whole family gets over to see her at the same time. They sure do love going over there. Kyle loves the roller rack. It's a big hit with all the grandchildren. It was a fun time. I didn't take any pictures of my kids on Christmas morning. I couldn't find my camera that morning. It's kind of sad but i guess we have our memories. I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas!!!

My kids christmas miracle

We all had a scare on Christmas night. First of all my kids love their dog floyd more than anything. We had a big snow storm on Christmas, it snowed all day and all night. Brandon left around 5:30 pm on his four wheeler. He went to get a movie from his grandma's house. We didn't notice but we think Floyd got out and chased after him. When Brandon got home he asked where his dog was. We hollered for him and looked in every room in the house. He was no where. Floyd hates to be cold and if he does leave home it's only for a few minutes. We started to worry. Around 6:30 pm me and Chris decided to go look for him in the truck. It was snowy real hard, it was like a blizzard. We think Floyd lost his direction because of the storm and because it was dark. We looked for him for 3 hours. The kids where crying thinking they were never going to see their best friend again. Finally around 9:30 we stopped looking. There was so much sadness in my house that i was even crying. The kids went down stairs to watch TV to get their mind of their lost dog. Around 10:30 pm Chris was looking out the front door and to his surprise he saw our dog running through the snow trying to get home. Floyd ran through the door, he was so cold and matted with snow. I grabbed a towel and dried him off. We hollered for the kids and they ran up stairs. They were all crying and hugging their dog. Makalie said it was a Christmas miracle. Amie told me that she prayed to Santa and asked him to bring their dog back. She said he listened. It was a miracle to my kids! It was so funny in a way. Floyd was so tired. He slept for the rest of the night. The kids got the camera out and took these photos of their dog.
